Sad I know, but as I returned home yesterday lunchtime from a follow pampered chefers house, I let out a squeal to see my pampered chef stationary box sat on my doorstep!
I came inside, busied Amelia with some CBeebies & a cheese sandwich in the lounge (!! a treat indeed!), cleared the dining table & began to lay out piles of order forms, brochures, invitation cards and many more goodies, grinning like a crazed Cheshire cat!!!
My 1st show isn't until a week tomorrow & I'm bursting to start. I have met 2 new friends this week who are just about in the same start position as me & its so lovely to know that everyone feels the same way about something I'm so passionate about. We've been sharing tips, recipes & stories & I know that there are only more great times ahead :-)
My kit is being delivered tomorrow (no sleep tonight then!) & I'm devoted the whole weekend to practice - recipes & show presentation .... poor Christian & the girls! Oh well, by Monday morning they'll be full & fully trained in pampered chef show presentation!

A New Career.
Yesterday I signed up to become a 'Pampered Chef Consultant' - woo hoo! I believe this is the perfect solution to my problem posted below. I get to work as often as a like, meet lovely friendly people, showcase products I have used & believed in for years & cook!!!! What could be better? I'm very excited :-)
I became friends on good old facebook with an old friend of mine (going back to primary school days now!) a while ago. About 6 months ago she too became a pampered chef consultant & I had been meaning to get her to do a show at my house since then. I actually bumped into her in the flesh!!! at a preschool gala & finally asked her to come & do a show for me. A couple of days later she phoned & said she had been in the same position as me 6 months ago & had decided to try this just to see if it was possible to make a bit of cash & still be there for your little ones in the day ... & guess what? .... it was! She also thought that I too would make a great consultant. So after thinking of nothing else for oooh all of 2 hours! I decided to have a go too!
I'm still in the paperwork stage & asking family & friends if they would help me out & host a show (plenty of free gifts for the host don't you know!!!) & I will hopefully be doing my 1st show (aaargh!) in a couple of weeks! As everyone & their mother seem to be blogging these days I thought it would be a great opportunity to post my pampered experiences (& hopefully my successes) here ont'tinternet!!!I'm off to watch someone elses show tonight & frantically take notes! Wish me luck ..... oh yes & would you like to host a pampered chef show?!!!!!

Welcome!
Welcome to 'Victoria Sandwich'! I'm Victoria, a thirtysomething year old wife to Christian & mother to my 2 gorgeous little girls Alice & Amelia. Sandwich because of my love of all things foodie - especially my main love of baking cakes .... hence Victoria Sandwich! Clever eh? .... No not really!!! Oh well ;-)
I have been retired for 7 years now ( well it will be in a couple of weeks ) !! And I have to say that the time has come to return to the workplace. Not only for financial reasons ( I'm running out of excuses as to why it's pasta for tea again & there are new shoes in my wardrobe!) but for sanity reasons too. Small children are very lovely indeed but a girl really has to focus on more than Peppa Pig to get one's self through the day! I have been observing those who didn't return to work recently & my findings are that - the lack of adult interaction can result in becoming a bit daft!!!! (kidding by the way ..... or am I!)
This is all very well but as we decided 7 years ago, my roll is to be the main carer - being here for the girls, doing the school run for Alice, preschool for Amelia, being at home through the holidays & during the day ... everyday- not that I'm complaining - I wouldn't change it for the world & I certainly don't want to work just to cover nursery costs either. So returning to work could be kind of tricky as I appear to be left with evenings & weekends & I really don't want to go down the supermarket shelf stacking route. I want to be rewarded for my efforts, enjoy myself & meet like minded people ........... hmmmmm! what could I possibly do?
